# How to set a custom frequency for an indicator?

Do you want to track your indicator's results over a defined time frame (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.)? You can configure a custom periodicity directly from the indicator settings.
**Step 1: Access the dashboard** From your dashboard, go to the **Performance** menu, then select the relevant dashboard.
**Step 2: Access the indicator** Open the **Activities** tab, then click on the indicator you wish to configure.
**Step 3: Enable periodicity** In the **Periodicity** section, check the box **The indicator is periodic**. This option allows you to track the indicator's results at regular time intervals (e.g., month by month or week by week).
**Step 4: Choose the main frequency** Select the main frequency, which corresponds to the primary tracking interval for your indicator. You can choose between:
* Daily
* Weekly
* Monthly
* Quarterly
* Bi-annually
* Yearly
**Step 5: Add other frequencies (optional)** These additional frequencies allow you to display results in different formats without replacing the main frequency.
**Step 6: Set the default displayed period** Finally, select the period to display by default from the following options:
* **Period of the last result:** automatically displays the latest period with an available result.
* **Current period:** displays the current period when a result exists for this period or a future one.
Once these settings are configured, save your changes. Your indicator will now use the defined periodicity for tracking and displaying its results.
